At Rafters, we believe that we have the friendliest restaurant in town!

Because we are slightly out of town, we have a quieter location and we do not compete with the trendy bars there. We are more couples, family or even business oriented, offering good old fashioned Wanaka hospitality to our hotel house guests and locals alike. 

Apres Ski in the winter, we have the warming open fireplace and with the wooden construction you still feel half way up a mountain!

On this web site, we have posted up our menu which changes with the seasons and features the favourites that were often asked for when we had the old menu operating. We know that our BBQ pork spare-ribs are the hottest favourite in town - and we agree with one of guests who commented they are not "1st date dining!" We also serve a traditional Wanaka dish "Lamb Shanks" - and other yummy things like pasta, grills, calamari.

We have a wonderful wine list full of New Zealand wines and some of the top Central Otago wines. We're sure we'll have a wine to match your menu choice.

If you're looking for something more casual pop into our separate bar for snacks, drinks or a coffee. The Bar is open for bar meals from 5pm to 9pm. Catch the latest game on our big screen TV!
